Located at the Grade II*-listed Middleport Pottery, this tour offers a unique insight into the world of Burleigh ware, where traditional pottery-making techniques have been preserved for over a century. Your guided tour takes you through the entire production process, from clay to cup. Each piece of Burleigh pottery passes through 25 pairs of hands, and you’ll also get to see the beautiful tissue-transfer technique, a method of underglaze decoration that is no longer used anywhere else in the world. Before or after your tour, enjoy afternoon tea in The Packing House Café.
